Are Satellite TV Sports Packages The Best Things Since Sliced Bread?

That may seem like an absurd question but with all the great satellite TV sports packages available, it's actually one that may be pertinent. Everyone has at least one sport they like whether it may be baseball, American football, auto racing, soccer (what many consider to be "real" football), rugby, cricket or even curling. There are channels devoted specifically to a single sport like the Golf channel, MLB Network and NFL Redzone so sitting down and watching your favorite sport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (366 on Leap Year) is actually possible.

While some of us may have to work for a living, taking time out of our sports watching schedule, for the true die-hard fanatics out there, not only can you watch your sport at home on your widescreen HDTV but if you've got the right setup, you can even watch your favorite satellite TV sports package on your Smartphone or a computer connected to the internet as well. That means you don't have to worry about how your fantasy players are doing or what the scores are, you can actually see what's going on while you're working, or supposedly working. Just get connected to the internet and you can be watching your favorite team in action.

Even though they may admire your dedication to your favorite team, friends and especially family may not appreciate your fervor at three A.M. when you're watching Manchester United on your sports package on satellite TV and the ref is handing out a red card to your favorite player. Other issues may arise when your boss finds the basketball game up on your computer screen again, instead of running those sales figures he needs. Unless he's a part of the office pool for March Madness, he may not appreciate just how important that game is.

Your pastor or preacher can't help but forgive you for missing church when he knows how much dedication you have to seeing your favorite golfer on the links on Sunday morning. However, with the Golf Channel available on your TV sports package on satellite, he'll have to come over to watch the tournament with you since it's available all year around. Granted, he may not be appreciative of the fact that you're not making it to Sunday services but when he's watching the final putt of the U.S. Open on your 60" HDTV, which he'll appreciate.

If friends and family try to stage an intervention because you're watching your favorite sport all the time, all it takes is sitting them down so they can watch their favorite sport like ESPN Game Plan and before long, they'll be just as hooked watching sports as you are. Satellite TV sports packages may be the best thing to happen to TV since TV was invented.
