Points to Bear in Mind During the Installation of a Home Theatre System

Why do you purchase a home theatre system? It is to get a cinema hall kind of effect, so you need to do everything right to create that kind of effect. First and foremost you need to choose the appropriate room to set-up your home theatre system. Nowadays television is a major source of entertainment in many households, especially where there are elderly or home-bound people, who are unable to go the cinema theatre to watch their favourite movies. The major advantage of a television is that on it you not only watch movies, but serials or matches you love. You can also save time and money. So once your room is finalised, bring the best home theatre home after doing the research well online or by getting information from your friends.

So basically these are the points to bear in mind while installing your home theatre system.

1) Planning your set-up - Planning your set-up is very important like I said before, as to which room you are going to set-up your home system, especially if you have teenagers, elderly people etc. It should be set-up in a room where it does not create hindrance for each one of them while performing their routine activities like when you or anybody else is watching the television it shouldn't be a hindrance to study for the teenager and vice-versa.

2) Choosing a dark room - The next point is you should be choosing a darker room for installing your home theatre system and if a brightly lit room is one, which you find most suitable you must either put curtains or drapes to make it dark.

3) Placing the home theatre system straight in the line of your view - The alignment of the television screen should be such that the centre of the screen is in line with the view of the seated person.

4) Central Channel Speaker - The central channel speaker should be placed above or below the television. If it is placed on the top you must make sure that the front edge of the speaker is aligned with the front of the television screen.

5) The speakers are placed at an equal distance from the television - It is very important that the right and left speakers are placed at an equal distances on either side of the television facing the front. The height should be also be in alignment with the height of your central speaker.
