Apple Has Sold 200 Million T.V. Episodes - HD Included

Apple announced that they have sold their 200 millionth T.V. episode, more than one million of which were in HD. It’s only been a month since the launch of HD on iTunes, and they have already made a major contribution to T.V. episode sales.

With programing from four major networks such as: ABC, FOX, CBS and NBC Universal, some of the most popular shows on television are now available on your portable devices. Shows like Heroes, CSI, Prison Brake, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost are all part of the massive selection.

Regular T.V. episodes are sold for $1.99 and $2.99 for the ones in HD. Considering that television is free, this does seem a little on the expensive side to pay per episode, but luckily many series offer season passes at discounted rates.
