The TV Channel

Digital television network covers about 99.9 % of the population living in the continental Finland.

In digital television, the channels and other services are gathered into so called multiplexes.The amount of channels varies in different parts of Finland.

Coverage areas for multiplexes A, B, C, E, F and G

Multiplexes A and B cover 99.9 % of the population

Multiplex A (Yleisradio's digital television broadcasts) and the channels in multiplex B (MTV3, MTV3 MAX, Sub, Sub Juniori/Sub Leffa, Nelonen and JIM) are seen throughout Finland. Read more about the channels >>

Multiplex C covers 78 - 90.4 % of the population

Multiplex C is seen in the following tv-stations' coverage areas: Anjalankoski, Espoo, Eurajoki, Fiskars, Haapavesi, Joutseno, Jyväskylä, Kerimäki, Koli, Kruunupyy, Kuopio, Lahti, Lapua, Mikkeli, Oulu, Pihtipudas, Ruka, Tammela, Tampere, Turku, Vuokatti and some sub-transmitter in the areas.

Multiplex E covers 95 % of the population

Multiplex F covers 60 % of the population. Multiplex G covers the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Sub-transmitters

Digita will build 6 more sub-transmitters to enhance the visibility of digital television in different parts of Finland.

Digital television maps

Digita Oy owns the rights to the coverage area maps which are published on digitv.fi and digita.fi -websites. Usage and copying of the maps without Digita's permission is forbidden.
